Ronald Koeman named new Barcelona head coach Setien sacked

Ronald Koeman named Barcelona head coach for 2 Year after Setien sacked.

 Ronald Koeman has been appointed the new head coach of Barcelona two days after the club sacked Quique Setien.

  The 57-year-old Dutchman replaces Quique Setien, who was sacked following Barca's humiliating 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

 Koeman, who spent six years as a player at Barcelona and was a member of Johan Cruyff's legendary 'Dream Team'.

 He played for Barcelona between 1989 and 1995, helping them to four La Liga league titles and the  and scored the winning goal in the 1992 European Cup final during his playing days at the Nou Camp. 

The Catalans finished second in La Liga last season, failing to win a trophy for the first time since 2007-08.

Ronald Koeman: Managerial Career.

For the first time of coaching when he was assistant to national team coach Guus Hiddink during the 1998 World Cup.

 He has a great success as a manager back in his homeland, winning league titles with Ajax and PSV. 

A brief stint at Valencia in 2007 brought Copa del Rey success. 

After spells at AZ Alkmaar and Feyenoord, Koeman was appointed by Southampton in 2014 where he was a huge success, guiding the Premier League club to seventh- and sixth-place finishes, which resulted in qualification for the Europa League group stage.

In 2017  Everton came calling the Koeman, he departing with the club due to in the bottom three position.

But soon, In February 2018 he was appointed coach of the Dutch national team, Koeman led the side to the final of the Uefa Nations League and helped them qualify for Euro 2020.

 Barcelona upcoming Presidential elections in March 2021. 

Barcelona have also brought forward the date of the next presidential elections, which will take place on the first matchday after March 15, 2021. 

Elections have normally taken place in the summer, usually in June, but they have resisted calls for an immediate ballot to be held, saying it is "not feasible".
