Maarten Vandevoordt becomes Youngest goalkeepers ever to play in Champions League.
A Genk teenager is going upward set to make UCL history as he going to playing Champions League's youngest ever goalkeeper on Tuesday night.
Maarten Vandevoordt, who is only 17 years and 287 days, is in line to face Napoli in the Belgian club's final group game at Stadio San Paolo.
Previously the record of Champions league Youngest goalkeepers holds by Benfica's Mile Svilar, who made his debut against Manchester United in 2017 aged 18 years and 52 days.
He would become the competition's youngster ever keeper ahead of Mile Svilar Iker Casillas, David de Gea, Petr Cech and Pepe Reina all feature in the top 10 list.
Svilar, who is also from Belgium, was 18 years, one month and 21 days old when he lined up against Manchester United for the Portuguese giants in October, 2017.
Belgium Under-19s player Vandevoordt, born on 26 February 2002, only made his senior debut for Genk on 24 September and has featured three times for the reigning Belgium champions this season.
