Nadal secured his 4th US Open 2019 title and 19th Grand Slam overall, defeating Daniil Medvedev in five sets. The win puts Nadal only one Grand Slam behind Federer's record of 20 titles.

Simona Halep won her second Grand Slam title at Wimbledon Open 2019, the first Romanian tennis player to win there.
Bianca Andreescu won her first Grand Slam title at the US Open 2019, defeating Serena Williams in the final. She became the first Canadian player, as well as the first player born in the 2000s, to win a Grand Slam title.
