Serena William reached 11th time Wimbledon Final

Serena Williams will face Simona Halep in Wimbledon final 2019.

Serena Williams feeling at ease against Barbora Strycova to reach the Wimbledon final and stand one win away from a record-equalling 24th Grand Slam title.

The Seventh time champion, American, 37, was just too powerful for the Czech, Barbora Strycova in a 6-1 6-2 win that set up a Wimbledon final against Romania's Simona Halep.

Serena Williams has won the 23 Grand Slams titles, just one away from Australian player Margaret Court's record of 24, which has stood since the 1970s.

Williams looked in ominous form from the start, converting both break points she earned, taking a 3-1 lead and then a 5-1 lead.

Despite saving three break points when serving for the set, the 37-year-old eventually sealed it with an ace.

Strycova, playing in her first Grand Slam semi-final, came out a more determined figure at the start of the second set, despite seemingly ailing from a leg injury.
