Hamilton 3rd straight wins in Canada GP after Vettel's penalty

Lewis Hamilton wins in Canada GP after Sebastian Vettel 5-sec penalty.

In one of Formula One’s most memorable meltdowns, the Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel, accused of guilty due to their dangerous move at the Canadian Grand Prix that almost pushed his arch-rival Lewis Hamilton into a wall.
Hamilton wins the Third straight win with Canadian Grand Prix after Vettel got penalized to force Hamilton off the track.

The Mercedes driver would likely have passed Vettel had he not been blocked with 22 laps still remaining.

The move will doubtless lead to a major controversy but Hamilton was clear that he felt Vettel had been unfair.

Vettel complained that Hamilton could have gone to the inside but that was an inaccurate reading of the situation as it unfolded.

Lewis Hamilton Said:

"Naturally that's absolutely not the way I wanted to win.
"I took the corner normally, but when you come back on the track you are not meant to come back straight on the racing line. You're meant to rejoin safely.
"I forced the error and he went wide... we nearly collided, but that's motor racing."

 Sebastian Vettel Said:

It's not about the title now. I think we really deserved to win today. That's our opinion and I think the people's opinion out there as well. It's a bit weird now to be honest. It's not making our sport popular is it?
With these kinds of decisions... people want to see us race. They are the reason why we are able to put this show on. It's just a shame when we have all these little funny decisions.

Charles Leclerc Said:

: "I'm pretty happy with my performance. We were very quick. The race pace was strong. I'm disappointed for the team - I don't know what happened [with Seb] but the team deserved a victory today"

What happens next in Formula 1 race?

France in two weeks' time. Unfortunately for Ferrari, the track layout is likely to favour Mercedes and that first win for the red cars will probably have to wait a while longer. The Next Formula 1 race French GP will be held on Sunday 23 June, at Circuit Paul Ricard, Marseille, France.
