The world’s most famous golf tournament US Masters 2019 gets underway.
 The first of golf’s four annual major tournaments, the Masters is expected to feature an overall purse of $11 million as compared to last year payout breakdown $9.8 million, when Patrick Reed, wear Green Jacket as the champion  gets $1,980 million prize pool and second-place finisher received $1.188 million

 The 2019 Masters Tournament begins on Thursday and runs through Sunday. A full breakdown of last year’s top prize money payouts can be viewed below.


  Tiger Wood took advantage of a Francesco Molinari meltdown to win the famous Green Jacket at Augusta today. 



And, in the process, he clinched the winner's cheque of more than $2million (£1.5m) 


That's the reward for coming out on top while the runner-up takes home $1.2m (£950,000). Third place will earn $782,000 (£600,000). 


The Masters' title holder Woods is his 15th major - and his first for 11 years.T
