EURO 2024 qualifying is here, and you’re in the right spot for groups, fixtures, and results.

The long road to Euro 2024 begins in Germany this week as 53 nations aim for a place in next summer.

With 23 spots up for grabs - the host nation qualify automatically - England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland will hope to make a positive start to their campaigns.

The action gets under way on Thursday when England visit Italy in a repeat of the Euro 2020 final, while Northern Ireland travel to minnows San Marino.

Ukraine, North Macedonia, who beat Italy in their 2022 World Cup play-off last March, and Malta make up the remaining teams in the section.

Euro 2024 qualifying format, how it works.

Since Germany, the hosts, has already qualified for Euro 2024, 23 spots are still available.

53 countries have been split into ten groups, seven of which contain five teams, and three of which contain six teams.

The teams in each group will play each other both at home and away, with the group winners and runners-up moving on to the Euro 2024 finals.

The play-offs will determine who fills the final three spots. There will be 12 teams competing in these in March 2024.

These teams will be chosen based on how well they perform in the 2022–2023 Nations League, and they must not have already advanced to the championship match.
