Currently, Indian Premier League is the most exciting T20 competition by Prizes, Purse and Prize money given to the Best Players around the globe.

 The IPL is at the hands now and IPL fans is so excited how their Best IPL teams performed in the 12 edition spans over the next two and a half months - but how is the IPL distribute the prize money for best cricketers & how much teams can earn from IPL tournament?

The IPL is here for its 2019 season as the Chennai Super Kings aim to defend their title.

The season runs from March 23 until May 12, and is the 12th edition of the competition.

There was always a shed-load of money involved but as with everything it keeps going up and up.

 How much does the IPL payout in prize money?



last year the official payout was just over £6m, and this year it is supposed to reach between £7.5m-£9m.

And this year there is a bigger emphasis on players pocketing the money with a change to ensure 50% goes to the team and 50% to the players.

The IPL winner this year will get:      £2,188,651.04 - ( $ 2891424.70)

IPL runner up teams gets:     £1,367,906.90  -  ( $ 1807140.44 )

The MVP for the tournament, the Purple Cap winner (leading wicket-taker), Orange Cap winner (leading run scorer) all pocket £10,943 - ( $  14456.79).

Perfect Catch of the Season, Stylish Player of the season, GameChanger of the season and Emerging Player of the Season who all get £10,943  - ( $  14456.79).


 And there is more money on offer in each game with the awards of

up to £1,000  - ( $ 1321)on offer for the man of the match awards during the regular season,
and £5,470  - ( $  7226) in the playoffs.
