Jesus Joy & Tears Brazil win Copa America in 12 years

Brazil beat Peru win Copa America 2019 Final, first time in 12 years.



In 2019 Copa America Top 10 FIFA Ranking teams in CONMEBOL will compete for the In the 46th edition title along with Two Invitational teams Japan, another is FIFA World Cup 2022 host Qatar national team.
 The top eight teams will progress to the knockout stage for the 14 June – 7 July tournament.


 Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus scored once, assisted another goal, was sent off and pushed the VAR monitor as Brazil won a first Copa America title in 12 years, beating Peru 3-1.

 Jesus was shown a second yellow with 20 minutes left but Richarlison's late penalty sealed the win.

 It is the ninth time Brazil have won the Copa America and is their first tournament success since winning a gold medal at the 2016 Olympics.


 The victory also maintained their record of winning the Copa America every time they have hosted it.

 The last time the Copa came to Brazil was back in 1989 & now again,  Brazil has not won the Copa America since 2007,  Chile has won the last two Copa America titles winners (2015 Copa America, 2016 Copa America Centenario), while Uruguay has the most titles all-time with 15 title winners.
