The Vermont Catamounts won the 2026 America East Women's Basketball Championship by defeating the Maine Black Bears 61–43 on Friday, March 13, 2026. This victory marks Vermont's second consecutive conference tournament title and their ninth overall in program history.

The top-seeded Catamounts hosted the No. 2 seed Maine at Patrick Gymnasium in Burlington, Vermont. After trailing 9–2 early in the first quarter, Vermont went on a 27–6 run to take control of the game.

For Maine, Adrianna Smith, the America East Player of the Year, led her team with 22 points and 15 rebounds in her final collegiate game.

The 2026 Air Force Reserve America East Women's Basketball Playoffs (the conference championship tournament) runs March 5–13, 2026, with a unique format: quarterfinals on Thursday, March 5; semifinals on Monday, March 9; and the championship on Friday, March 13.

All games are hosted by the higher seed (campus sites), with reseeding after quarterfinals for semis and final. The winner earns the automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament.
