Canada 2026 World Baseball Classic schedule: Dates, times, how to watch every

World Baseball Classic Schedule: Team Canada WBC dates, times & how to watch every 2026 WBC matchup.

For the sixth time, the World Baseball Classic has come and among the 20 teams competing for the title is Team Canada, eager to establish themselves as a competitive force in the tournament. Canada has not achieved a high position in the standings in their WBC appearances, but in 2026 they have assembled a very strong team with plenty of current and former MLB players

Canada has been placed in a competitive first round group in this iteration of the WBC, sharing Pool A with Puerto Rico, Cuba, Colombia, and Panama. They will play their preliminary round of games in Puerto Rico, against each of their opponents as they look to make their mark on the tournament this time around. They had some entertaining high-scoring games, but they undoubtedly want more success going forward.

It’s worth noting that in the 2023 WBC, Canada shared a pool with the United States and Mexico, both of whom finished very strongly; both were eliminated by Samurai Japan, the U.S. in the final, Mexico in the semi-final.

March 7 Canada vs. Colombia 11:00 am ET / 12:00 pm AT — FS2/FOXD

Colombia enters as a gritty underdog with solid talent but faces a tough path in this stacked pool. They boast emerging MLB contributors and a passionate style that led to competitive showings in past qualifiers and tournaments, though Canada shut them out 5-0 in 2023 pool play. This opener could be winnable for Canada if their pitching holds, but Colombia's resilience makes them a sneaky threat capable of an upset in a "group of death."

March 8 Canada vs. Panama 7:00 pm ET / 6:00 pm AT — FS2

Panama brings high energy and ranked around 8th globally, with a mix of MLB experience and raw athleticism that makes them dangerous. They've shown improvement in recent internationals and could challenge favorites with strong defense and opportunistic hitting. For Canada, this evening matchup tests depth early—expect a competitive battle where Panama's momentum could complicate Canada's advancement hopes.

March 10 Canada vs. Puerto Rico 7:00 pm ET / 6:00 pm AT — Tubi (Streaming)

Puerto Rico, as hosts, are a perennial powerhouse (ranked around 7-9) with deep MLB talent, explosive offense, and passionate home-crowd support at Hiram Bithorn Stadium. They've reached finals before and remain contenders despite some roster fluctuations. This prime-time clash is a must-win scenario for Canada to advance, pitting their rising stars against Puerto Rico's experience in what could be the pool's defining game.

March 11 Canada vs. Cuba 3:00 pm ET / 2:00 pm AT — FS2/FOXD
Cuba (ranked around 10th) delivers elite raw talent, power arms, and a storied baseball tradition, though recent WBCs have shown inconsistency due to defections and transitions. They're always capable of dominating with athleticism and flair. As Canada's finale, this matchup could decide qualification—Canada's balanced roster has an edge if they stay disciplined against Cuba's unpredictable, high-upside play.
