Here’s everything to know about the 2026 March Madness men’s Elite 8 round.
It's the final stop on the road to the Final Four.
The Elite Eight in the 2026 men's NCAA Tournament will feature four regional finals, with trips to Indianapolis for the Final Four up for grabs. The regional championship matchups will take shape via the Sweet 16, which wraps up with four games on Friday.
The Sweet 16 is loaded with highly anticipated matchups, especially in the East Region, where Jon Scheyer's top-seeded Duke Blue Devils take on Rick Pitino's St. John's Red Storm, and Dan Hurley's UConn Huskies go up against Tom Izzo's Michigan State Spartans.
No. 2 Connecticut and No. 6 Tennessee joined the Blue Devils and Wolverines with wins on Friday. Half of the Elite Eight field will feature Big Ten teams, while the Big 12 (Arizona), SEC (Tennessee), Big East (UConn) and ACC (Duke) will each have one representative in the Elite Eight.

The 2026 Men’s Final Four is scheduled for Indianapolis, Indiana, at Lucas Oil Stadium on April 4 and 6, 2026, hosted by the Horizon League and IU Indianapolis.
The Final Four will pit the South Regional champion up against the West Regional champ, with the East and Midwest Regional champs making up the other matchup..
When is the NCAA basketball national championship game?
The national title game will then follow on Monday, April 6 at the Indianapolis.
