NBA AT&T Slam Dunk Contest 2026: Roster, Schedule, Date, Times, How to Watch, TV channel, Live Stream, Winner & More.
Who capture the 2026 AT&T Slam Dunk Contest?
The 2026 AT&T Slam Dunk Contest didn’t have the usual superstar names, but it absolutely delivered on creativity, effort, and big-time ambition.
Most fans came in barely knowing the four contestants — Jaxson Hayes, Keshad Johnson, Jase Richardson, and Carter Bryant — but by the end of the night, one of them walked away with instant NBA All-Star fame.
That winner was Miami Heat forward Keshad Johnson, who beat San Antonio Spurs rookie Carter Bryant in the final round to take the trophy and permanently add his name to the list of dunk contest champs.
How it played out
Hayes (Lakers) was the first to go. He was the most established NBA player in the group, but didn’t do enough to advance.
Jase Richardson (Magic) — the son of two-time dunk champ Jason Richardson — had one of the scariest moments of the night. He took a hard fall in the second round and hit his head after missing a dunk attempt. He recovered and completed his third try, but still didn’t make the final.
The final: Johnson vs Bryant
The last round came down to Johnson vs Bryant, and Bryant set the bar sky-high by scoring the only perfect 50 of the entire contest. He threw the ball up, then pulled off a clean between-the-legs dunk on his first attempt — easily the single flashiest moment of the night.

LAST YEAR WINNER: It was the perfect combination and contrast for a small guy and big guy Saturday at All-Star Weekend. Mac McClung (6-2) elevated over retired Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal (7-1) with a reverse to go back-to-back in the contest.
It was a sweet defense by McClung, who once again competed as a member in the G-League, last year with the Delaware Blue Coats, this time with the Osceola Magic. He scored 50 with all the judges on the winning dunk.
How does the scoring for the NBA Slam Dunk Contest work?
The four contestants each get two dunk entries in the first round, with scores for each dunk of the night ranging from a maximum of 50 to a minimum of 30. The two contestants with the highest combined score for their two dunks advance to the finals, with a tie being decided by the judges.
Players get three attempts to complete each of their dunks in both rounds, with the NBA defining an attempt as a player controlling the basketball and moving it toward the rim. Any props used in a dunk attempt must be approved in advance by the NBA Basketball Operations department.
The same rules apply in the final round, with the contestant with the highest combined score for their two dunks winning the competition.
If tied after the final round, the two contestants will compete in a one-dunk dunk-off.
