2023 AFL Revealed Practice Match Schedule, Date Times

AFL announced 2023 Match Simulation Schedule, Practice Matches Fixtures, Dates Times, Venues, How to Watch, TV.








THE AFL is pleased to confirm match simulation and practise match details, with all practise matches being free to attend.

All 18 clubs will compete in a single official practise match, with the format and length of the game mirroring Toyota AFL Premiership Season matches.

Sixteen clubs will take part in an additional match simulation, with the format, number of players, game length, and number of breaks determined by competing teams.

Participation in match-simulation has been made optional for clubs due to the AFL's additional round of matches in South Australia for Gather Round.

The Western Bulldogs and GWS GIANTS have decided not to take part in the match simulation.

  • AFL premiership Preseason games, with the official matches to be shown live on Foxtel and Kayo Sports.

All practise matches will be open to the public for free. Each club will manage and communicate match simulation arrangements.
