Musiala youngest scorer Bayern outlast Lazio in UCL last16

Champions Bayern Munich thrashed Lazio 4-1 in the last-16 first leg in Rome.




 Lazio waited 21 years to reach the Champions League knockout stages after their last visit ended in ignominious defeat … for the pleasure of another ignominious defeat. Goals from Robert Lewandowski, Jamal Musiala Leroy Sane and an own goal by Francesco Acerbi put Bayern 4-0 up, and though Joaquin Correa nabbed a goal back, the tie is over and both sides know it.

1  --   Jamal Musiala is the second-youngest player to score in the Champions League knockout stages - after Bojan, who scored for Barcelona against Schalke in the 2007-08 quarter-finals, aged 17 years and 217 days.


2  --   Jamal Musiala surpassed Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain - who netted for Arsenal against Olympiakos in September 2011 at 18 years and 44 days old - as the youngest English scorer in the competition.


3  --   Lazio, first appeared in the knockout stages of Champions League for 21 years,


4  --   Lewandowski goal moves him Up former Real Madrid and Schalke striker Raul in the Champions League scoring charts, though he is still a long way behind Cristiano Ronaldo (134) and Lionel Messi (119).


5  --   Robert Lewandowski opened the scoring with his 72nd goal to overtake Raul as the tournament's third-highest scorer.
