They are always high stakes when Conor McGregor steps into the Octagon. Saturday night will be no different, as McGregor makes his return against Donald Cerrone in the main event of UFC 246 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

McGregor lost his last time out via fourth-round submission to Khabib Nurmagomedov in October of 2018. Prior to that, the last time he tasted victory was way back in November of 2016, when he rocked Eddie Alvarez with a second-round TKO.

 According to the Daily Mail, McGregor will receive a guaranteed purse of £3.8million ($5m) for for headlining the main event of UFC 246 against Donald Cerrone

 However, when speaking with ESPN's Ariel Helwani earlier in the week, McGregor predicted that his total earnings from the event will swell up to an estimated $80 million PPV revenue.

He told ESPN that he earned an estimated $50 million for his fight against Nurmagomedov.


 Meanwhile, Cerrone will pocket $200,000 (£1.53m) just to show up and enter the Octagon and could gain another $200,000 with a victory, per ESPN.
