Australian Open: Roger Federer beats Krajinovic ease into third round

Australian Open 2020: Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic jumped into third round.




Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic both enjoyed comfortable wins to reach the third round of the Australian Open.


 Roger Federer set up a third-round clash with John Millman on Friday after a routine straight-sets win over Filip Krajinovic.

 Federer, 38, had never lost to Serbian star Krajinovic in their previous three matches.

 Krajinovic stayed with little hope in the second round with close gap BUT, Federer straight back and won the set 6-4.

In the third set, Krajinovic lost his way and Federer took full advantage to cruise through 6-1 6-4 6-1.








 Djokovic, who won his seventh Australian Open last year, dismissed Japanese wildcard Tatsuma Ito 6-1 6-4 6-2 in 95 minutes.

Serbian, 32, chasing a 17th Grand Slam title, faces Japan's Yoshihito Nishioka next after he knocked out British number one Dan Evans in straight sets.


 Meanwhile, sixth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas did not even have to hit a ball to reach the last 32 after opponent Philipp Kohlschreiber withdrew injured.

  Greece's Tsitsipas, 21, will face Canadian Milos Raonic or Cristian Garin of Chile in the third round.



What's Next for Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic in Australian open 2020.



 Next up for Federer, who was broken only once in the match, is Australian world No 47 John Millman, who upset him in the fourth round of the US Open in 2018.

 After beating Tatsuma Ito, Novak Djokovic next plays another 🇯🇵 Japanese player in Yoshihito Nishioka for a spot in the Round 16 of Australian Open 2020.
