Tennis Canada has confirmed the top seeds players for the 2019 Rogers Cup by National Bank in Montreal and Toronto. The ATP world ranking No. 2, Rafael Nadal, will be the top player in men's ranking while WTA No.1 Ashleigh Barty will headline the draw in Women's ranking.

 Tennis Canada has also revealed the players who have received a Wild Card into the Rogers Cup 2019. Three Wild Cards for the main draw have been awarded to Brayden Schnur (Pickering, ON), Vasek Pospisil (Vancouver, BC) and Peter Polansky (Thornhill, ON).

 There is one main draw Wild Card left to be awarded, while the Wild Cards for the WTA Premier 5 event will be announced in the coming days.

 Top-ranked Novak Djokovic withdrew from the tournament last week, and Roger Federer pulled out shortly after he lost to Djokovic in five grueling sets in the Wimbledon final.
Argentinean star del Potro also withdraws.

2019 Rogers Cup: What are the schedule dates, start time.?

 The 2019 Rogers Cup presented by National Bank is an upcoming tennis tournament to be played on outdoor hard courts. It will be the 139th edition (for the men) and the 128th (for the women) of the Canadian Open.

The Men's event will be held at Montreal from August 2 and final on11, 2019, while Women's events will be held at Toronto from August 3 to Final on 11, 2019.


There are overall 15 sessions in Rogers Cup 2019 (Candian Open), the first session for Open practice will be held on August 2, & first qualifying round will be played on 3 August.

The qualifying round starting time for Day matches are 11:00AM for two days. Through the first round, 2nd, 3rd to Semi-Finals will be held on 10th August, in all these matches the day kick-off timing is Noon 12:00 PM & for Night matches timing is set 6:30OPM through semis.

The Final starting time is 1:30PM on 11th August, 2019.

Wild Cards for Qualifying and Doubles Draws 

 The Wild Cards for the qualifying events has announced.

The recipients include Steven Diez (Toronto, ON),
Filip Peliwo (Vancouver, BC) 
Alexis Galarneau (Laval, QC).

The final qualifying spot will go to Tommy Paul of the United States as part of a trade with the USTA that allowed Daniel Nestor to compete in his final US Open last fall.

In doubles, Félix Auger-Aliassime (Montréal, QC) will team-up with fellow Canadian Vasek Pospisil to play in the doubles draw.
